Installation from the Distribution Zip Archive File, Upgrade, and Uninstallation

Note that these instructions apply only if you install Radio Explorer from the downloaded distribution zip archive file, rather than using Java Web Start. Please see the Download and Web Start pages for more information about these two ways to install Radio Explorer.

For information on installing, upgrading, and uninstalling Radio Explorer using Java Web Start, see the Web Start page.

Installation

  1. Install Java software. For more information about this, see System Requirements.

  2. Download the Radio Explorer distribution zip archive file.

  3. Extract files from the archive. The archive contains a directory tree with the top‐level directory named RadioExplorer. The top‐level directory contains subdirectories. Make sure that the extracted directory tree is the same as in the archive. You can check the integrity of the extracted tree using a file list in the readme.txt file, located in the RadioExplorer directory.

You can now launch Radio Explorer.

Upgrade

To upgrade Radio Explorer, uninstall the old version of the program and install the new version. Your settings from the old version will still be available in the new version.

Uninstallation

To uninstall Radio Explorer, delete the RadioExplorer directory.
