If you installed Radio Explorer from the downloaded distribution zip archive file, as described in the installation instructions, follow these steps:
On Windows, start theRadioExplorer.bat batch command file.
On Ubuntu Linux, if you installed Java™ software from the Ubuntu Linux software repository as described in System Requirements, right‐click theRadioExplorer.jar Java archive file. A pop‑up menu will be displayed. On the menu, click the item titled Open with Java Runtime or similarly.
Note that on Ubuntu Linux, you may have to mark theRadioExplorer.jar file as executable. Right‐click the file, and click Properties on the pop‑up menu that will be displayed. In the properties dialog box, click the Permissions tab, and select the check box Allow executing file as program.
If you installed Java software on Ubuntu Linux in a different way, or if you use an operating system that does not provide integration with Java software, you can start Radio Explorer using a simple one‐line launching script. Change to theRadioExplorer directory and start theRadioExplorer.sh script file. Please note that you may have to edit the script file and specify the full path to thejava program. You may also have to mark the script file as executable, as described above.
If you installed Radio Explorer via Java Web Start, then either click the Radio Explorer Web Start link on the Web Start page of Radio Explorer Web site, or, if Java Web Start created a desktop shortcut for Radio Explorer, use the shortcut.
On Ubuntu Linux, you may have to mark the desktop shortcut as executable, as described above.
